Harold J. Logan
Chief Executive Officer
Before joining BuyBook Technologies, Hal served as Senior
Vice President of Strategic Planning and Industry Relations
for Manheim, Inc., the world's leading provider of automotive
remarketing services. Hal's earlier positions at Manheim included
President and CEO of Manheim Interactive, and Senior Vice President of
Marketing. Before joining Manheim, Hal managed Third Set
Partners, a consulting company.
Hal began his career in 1973 as a reporter with the
Washington Post. In the following years, he helped launch
Dow Jones and Company's online service for investors, held various
executive-level positions at Pacific Bell Directory, and was
President and CEO of Vicinity Corporation, an Internet
company that provided Yellow Pages, mapping and driving direction services.
Hal holds a BA degree in Economics from Harvard
University and a Master's of Business Administration with a
concentration in strategy and finance from Stanford University.
Robert Hollenshead
Founder and President
Robert started his wholesale operation in 1972 in
Manheim, Pennsylvania, and has grown to become the largest
independent wholesale car dealer in the world with annual
revenues approaching $500,000,000. He has extensive experience in all phases of
the wholesale industry and has a profound knowledge of the
psychology of both sides of the business – wholesale and
retail.
For over three decades, Robert has been buying (off the
street), selling (by hand and in the auction lane),
reconditioning, transporting, importing and exporting used
vehicles. And thinking about innovative ways to do it all better. Bob has
developed many solutions for the industry, including the
first Dealer Trade lanes, the first Exotic Sales in the
country, Wreck Check, Bid the Load, and BuyBook Technologies.
Bob is a veteran of the Marine Corps, and a graduate of
Penn State with a degree in Marxist/Leninist economics. His
passion is painting and sculpture, and he is the designer and
custodian of the world class Soledad Gardens, in Exton, Pennsylvania.
Ted Reimel
Vice President and Chief Operating
Officer
An aficionado of domestics and exotics alike, Ted's
encyclopedic automotive knowledge is beyond impressive.
That's why he's always the first person dealers call for everything
from help with a number to help figuring out the correct engine block
color for a 1954 Porsche Speedster. Ted is essentially the
“Chief Information Officer” for BuyBook Technologies, and his
knowledge and unique insights make him a key member of the
development team on all new products. With over 30 years in the automotive
industry, Ted is an accomplished and respected buyer in the
automotive marketplace. He also developed the business plan
for ACV.com, one of the first online vehicle valuation
tools.
James Sibel
Chief Financial Officer
James comes to BuyBook Technologies with over 30 years of
diverse financial and business experience. He is an
entrepreneur, having owned and operated numerous successful
businesses in both the US and overseas, as well as an experienced financial
executive. Jim is currently completing his Ph.D. in Cultural
and Ethnic Conflict. He is also a private pilot (fixed and
rotary wing), a perpetual student of Tai Chi, and a 32°F&AM.
Todd Burt
Vice President and Chief Remarketing
Officer
Over his 15+ years in the automotive industry, Todd has
held virtually every position in the business. He leverages
that experience to help dealers realize their potential by
utilizing BuyBook Technologies' exclusive suite of products, and he's constantly
striving to bring more solutions to the industry. Responsible
for product development and partner relationships at BuyBook
Technologies, Todd has been instrumental in the development
and launch of the BuyBook Guarantee, Liquid Leads and the Pro Network.
Matthew Knox
Vice President and Chief Technology
Officer
Matt has been able to take his lifelong love of software
engineering and applications development and sucessfully
apply it to various business issues. He is a premier
solutions provider and the principal developer of the technology that drives
BuyBook Technologies and its services.
Prior to joining BuyBook Technologies, Matt worked for
Filenes Kaufmanns, a national department store retail chain
and division of the May Company. As Assistant to the
President at Filenes, Matt enhanced existing business systems while
simultaneously creating new systems that enabled the
organization to operate more efficiently and increase
productivity. Matt began his career at KPMG Consulting. As a Senior Consultant,
Matt served as technical lead, creating applications and
systems for a variety of clientele including FedEx, USPS,
Motorola and AT&T.
Matt is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
with a degree in Management Information Systems. He also
holds numerous certifications in systems, web applications,
networking, database and computer programming.
MaryAnn Holden
Secretary/Treasurer
For the past 20 years, MaryAnn has been responsible for
overseeing all financial transactions at both R. Hollenshead
Auto Sales and BuyBook Technologies. She manages her staff of
15 office assistants, 20 analysts, 30 transporters, 50 reconditioners
– not to mention 2,000 car titles per month – with grace and
confidence. A partner at R. Hollenshead Auto Sales, Mary Ann
is the definition of a company's right (and left) hand, and
she treats everyone she meets like family.
